The Challenge
Genesis required fine art prints to accompany their limited-edition books, signed by photographers or musicians. Over the years, we’ve produced prints for iconic artists such as Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Jimmy Page, and many more. The challenge was to ensure that these prints matched the exceptional quality of their books while staying true to the artists’ and photographers’ visions.
The Solution
Genesis supplied files from their contributors, and we tailored our process to meet their specific requirements. Proof prints were delivered in person to Genesis for review, ensuring every detail met their standards. Final editions were produced and sent for signing and framing.
The Process
- File Preparation:
Supplied digital files were carefully adjusted to produce prints that matched the original vision of the artist or photographer. - Printing:
We used Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl 320gsm for photography, providing depth and a subtle texture, and Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm for artworks. Both papers were selected in collaboration with Genesis. - Approval and Production:
Proofs were reviewed with Genesis, and upon final approval, the prints were produced, signed, and prepared for inclusion with the books.
